Risk Disclosure

Ziptrek Ecotours is an adventure activity that takes place at height within a forest environment, as such there are elements of risk involved. The primary risks being (but not limited to) fall from height, collision with objects, equipment failure, changing weather conditions, natural hazards (such as fire, and earthquake), slips/trips and falls. Ziptrek Ecotours will take all reasonable and practicable steps to ensure guests’ safety whilst out zipping.

Things don’t always work out, so enjoy peace of mind knowing that the following cancellation options are available to you.

• Up to 1 day before your chosen date - 100%
• Up to 7 days after purchase - 100%
• Cancellations made more than 24 hours before departure date: no cancellation fees apply
• Cancellations within 24 hours of departure date, late arrivals and no-shows: 100% cancellation fee applies

Changes to Booking:

24 hours’ notice is required to change a booking you have made

• Guests can reach the Ziptrek Treehouse by walking the Tiki Trail. Please allow 60–90 minutes for the steep walk (one-way) and dress weather-appropriately

Availability:

• Available every day: Departs 10.40am, 11.20am, 4pm or 5.40pm (duration approximately two hours)
• Meeting Point: Ziptrek Treehouse – located approximately 100 metres from the top of the Skyline Queenstown Gondola (note: Skyline gondola tickets are not included)
• Please check-in at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time

Important:

• Participants should reconfirm the tour at least 24 hours prior to departure date by calling 0800 947 873 or visiting the booking office at 45 Camp St in Central Queenstown
• To reach the check-in location, you will need to get to the upper Skyline complex via the Skyline gondola (allow 40 minutes in regular times and 60 minutes in peak times) OR Guests can reach the Ziptrek Treehouse by walking the Tiki Trail. Please allow 60–90 minutes for the steep walk (one-way) and dress for the weather
• Skyline gondola tickets are not included. Tickets can be purchased here: https://www.skyline.co.nz/en/queenstown/. Please allow at least 60 minutes travel time from Central Queenstown, 90 minutes in peak holiday periods
• Food, drink and transfers are not included
• Please allow up to two hours for this experience, including travel time
• Cameras and phones are welcome but must be secured in a pocket or via a strap
• Guests are required to wear closed-toe footwear and encouraged to bring another layer of clothing year-round due to the alpine location
• Bags, purses and backpacks are not allowed on the tour for safety reasons. On-course storage areas are available for small personal items
• This tour is not suitable for pregnant people

Terms & Conditions:

• Participant Consent Form: Every guest who participates on a tour is required to read and sign the Participation Consent Form. This can be completed by guests beforehand via this link or alternatively can be completed at check-in at the Ziptrek Treehouse. For guests ages 17 years and under, the form must be signed by a parent or guardian. Guests aged 15–17 years inclusive may participate on tour without a parent or guardian, but they MUST have the Participant Consent Form completed on their behalf by someone aged 18+
• A minimum of two guests is required for tour to proceed. If a tour fails to satisfy minimum numbers, the trip may be cancelled or rescheduled
• Minimum age of 6 years required to participate in any Ziptrek Ecotours
• Maximum weight limit for all tours is 125kg. No minimum weight applies for this tour. Mini zippers may go tandem with a guide
• A minimum of two guests is required for tour to proceed. If a tour fails to satisfy minimum numbers, the trip may be cancelled or rescheduled
• Maximum 10 guests per tour
• All guests under the age of 15 years must be accompanied on tour by a full-paying adult (15+)
• Tours operate in almost all weather conditions. Ziptrek Ecotours reserves the right to cancel tours due to events beyond its control. In these events, full refunds will be made, or alternate dates offered
