11-Day Vietnam Insider Series Culinary Journey with Three Michelin-Starred Restaurants, Ha Long Bay Luxury Cruise & Five-Star Stays
Vietnam rewards hungry travellers. Over 11 days, this small-group culinary journey runs from Hanoi’s Old Quarter to Ha Long Bay’s limestone karst-kissed waters, Hoi An’s lantern-lit riverside and Ho Chi Minh City’s neon-lit boulevards.
Three Michelin-starred dining experiences anchor the adventure. Begin at Hanoi’s Tầm Vī, where Northern Vietnamese family recipes are plated in a French-colonial teahouse that’s brimming with artworks and antiques. Still in Vietnam’s northern capital, enjoy dinner at temple-inspired fine-diner GIA, led by Sam Trần, the first Vietnamese woman to earn a Michelin star. Finally, in Ho Chi Minh City you’ll dine at the city’s first Michelin-starred restaurant, Anan Saigon, where chef Peter Cuong Franklin closes the trip with his acclaimed reinvention of Vietnamese street food. In between reservations, you’ll also enjoy a guided bánh mì tour through Ho Chi Minh’s three most legendary shops and a cooking class at KOTO, the social enterprise that has trained 1,500+ young Vietnamese cooks.
Spend an evening sailing through Ha Long Bay in style onboard luxury ship Lyra Grandeur, part of the acclaimed Lyra Cruise Collection. With just 33 suites – each framed by floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony or terrace – the vessel blends contemporary Indochine-inspired style with intimate luxury. As jungle-topped limestone karsts rise dramatically from the water, enjoy the ship’s five-star amenities – sip cocktails by the infinity pool, join a traditional tea ceremony or savour a spa treatment.
You’ll end each evening at a five-star hotel, including three nights each at Hotel de l’Opera – MGallery in Hanoi and riverside Hotel Royal Hoi An Gallery (with a 60-minute massage and nightly free-flow drinks included). In Ho Chi Minh City, spend three nights at the heritage Caravelle Saigon, in continuous service since the 1950s.
