I’ve stayed at the Pullman many times before—it’s always been a wonderful place to stay with my wife and kids. Unfortunately, this time an incident really tainted our experience. On our third night, around 1:30 a.m., we were abruptly woken by loud banging and the sound of someone trying to break into our room. The noise was so intense it woke all three of our children, who had been sound asleep. It sounded as though someone was trying to kick down the door. I even leaned against it, worried they might manage to force it open. They eventually gave up on our door, moved to another, and then returned a few minutes later to try again. We immediately rang the hotel reception to report that someone was in the hallway attempting to get into the rooms. To which there was no answer… after the third attempt they finally answered. We then heard a commotion outside as the concierge confronted the intruder, saying things like, “What’s your room number? Stop opening the other doors—that’s a fire door!” This whole ordeal took about an hour to resolve. As you can imagine, the situation was incredibly distressing and left a lasting impact on our children. Since that night, one of our kids keeps asking every night, “Is the door locked? Can someone get in?”

The water waste drain is absolutely putrid and stunk the entire apartment out. Really terrible. Service is ok and everything else is ok, just old and in desperate need of a revamp.
