Beautiful location! Lots of birds and beautiful views and gardens here, lots of fun things to do here but a lot of things will cost you additional money. The food prices here are expensive as it’s a tourist trap they want you to stay here and spend money here. Not much for restaurants and food nearby so be prepared to get an Uber or Lyft/drive to get some more reasonably priced food.

January 2025 Stay Stayed here in January and rented 3 of the bungalows with family and friends. It's a beautiful property. The reason for 4 out of 5 stars is because there was no entertainment at the bar/grill and you had to pay $45 a night for parking which was literally at your front door so we thought it was a bummer they made you pay for parking in a private resort with no option to park off site to save the fee. You already pay a premium to stay there so we thought parking should of been included in the rate as it's such a sprawling property with plenty of on-site front door parking. However, other than those 2 things it was nice. Because we were there all week we only ate on-site once and left the property for other food and entertainment options as we were a group of all adults so we were looking for a little more nightlife atmosphere. Great location near Beaches so, easy on/off property to Mission Beach, Pacific Beach and La Jolla but not walking distance to any. It's a very nice place if your looking for an upscale resort style atmosphere on the quiet side.

My stay was good and not so good. Good is the location, the beautiful resort and nice staff. The bad was no one at check in time told me I needed to request housekeeping 24 hours in advance so my room didn’t get cleaned the 2 nights that I stayed here. Furniture is old and the seats in my room were very uncomfortable. I’d sink in after a while sitting and reading. Paint job and renovations needed. Parking is ridiculously expensive. They said they’re in the process of renovation but why would they charge so much for an outdated hotel? I wouldn’t stay here again.
