I had the pleasure of staying at AHU BAY recently, and the experience was truly outstanding. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional — warm, thoughtful, and seamless. The room was immaculate and tastefully decorated, offering a perfect mix of comfort and style. It felt like a true retreat, the kind of space that instantly puts you at ease. Every element, from the dining to the facilities, was handled with such care and precision. It’s rare to come across a place where everything feels so well-executed. I’d absolutely return without a second thought.

Ahu Bay is an exceptional hotel. While it is not cheap by any means, you truly get what you pay for. My wife and i visited for our honeymoon, so it was well worth it. We even got a cake! The service is some of the best I have experienced, with all members of staff being very attentive and genuinely all were happy to be there. Fantastic staff! The location is also incredible if you are looking for a quiet getaway on a paradise like beachfront. The rooms are also very spacious and comfortable with all amenities. The food was also 10/10, I had one of the best filet steaks I’ve ever eaten at this hotel, which was also included in the half board price. Each serving felt like it was a high end Michelin style restaurant. I would return here for sure.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It's absolutely beautiful. You're on the coast and eat and drink in the restaurant with the Indian ocean right next to you. The staff couldn't have been more attentive and helpful: they went out of their way to make the stay special. The kitchen did some bespoke orders for us - all the food and cocktails were absolutely delicious. Plenty to do in the surrounding area, but frankly you'll barely want to leave the hotel.

My partner and I stayed here for a night in December 2024. This was absolutely our favourite hotel from our travels in Sri Lanka. From the private pool to the room/lounging area and the service, it was all fantastic. The staff and service truly stood out as everyone was super hospitable and attentive e.g. as soon as they saw you hop into your pool, they set up your chairs with towels and served you water. The amenities were also wonderful and food was delicious! Only slight negative I would add is that the beach the hotel sits on whilst is small so mainly private, is open to the public. This meant when we went to go put our feet in the water, we had locals approach and try to sell us services. However, not a big issue as you can just decline or stay in your pool. Overall, a truly luxurious stay and we wished we stayed another night to fully wind down and enjoy the property. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious 5 star stay!
