Date Changes
- Up to 21 days prior to departure; Economy $200 per person, Business $500 per person
- Within in 21 days of departure; No changes allowed for all travel classes.
Your package can only be changed to a new package of equal or higher value. There may be a price difference between the price for your new package and the original price. All date changes must fall within the package season and is not transferrable to other airlines.
Name change
- Up to 21 days prior to departure; Economy $50 per person, Business $100 per person
- Within in 21 days of departure; No changes allowed for all travel classes.
No Show
- No refunds for all travel classes
- Fees are not payable where you are entitled to a refund under Australian Consumer Law.
Seat Selection Seat selection is complimentary for Business. Some Economy seats will be free to select, and some will incur a charge to select. If you do not select a seat, a seat will be assigned to you at check in.
Infants and Children
- Infants (under 2 years) that do not occupy a seat will be carried free of charge. Infants will be seated on the accompanying adults lap or in a bassinet. Limited lap seatbelts and bassinets are available. The infant weight and length restrictions apply. There is a maximum of one infant per adult travelling. If the infant turns 2 between the outbound and inbound flights, a child fare must be purchased for both sectors.
- Children (2-11 years) will be charged 80% of the adult flight component in Economy. No discounts for children in Business. Children must be accompanied by an Adult 18 years or older. Unaccompanied minors are not accepted.
Baggage
- Packages from Melbourne to Malé and Malé to Melbourne include 1 piece at a maximum of 23kg for Economy passengers and 2 pieces up to 46kg for Business passengers (maximum 32kg per piece). In addition to this, a surfboard, diver gear (excluding tanks) or golf clubs can be carried at no additional charge.
- Infant & Child items such as a stroller, pusher or pram, a portable cot (portacot) and bedding, a car seat, baby capsule or booster seat and a portable highchair will be carried at no charge. Infants (if occupying a seat or not) & Children receive the same allowance as adults.
- Cabin baggage allowance is 1 piece up to 7kg per person in Economy & 2 pieces per person for Business up to 14kg (no piece can weigh more than 10kg). Necessary onboard Infant items will be carried above this allowance.
- Please note your connection to your resort may have luggage restrictions (weight and pieces). Please refer to your accommodation confirmation for further details. Luxury Escapes & Maldivian will not be responsible for excess baggage on resort connections.
Australian Domestic Flights purchased via Luxury Escapes with Melbourne to Malé and Malé to Melbourne flights are bound by the respective carriers’ terms & conditions, baggage allowance, change/cancellation fees and conditions of carriage. Luxury Escapes does not guarantee connections from or to any domestic flight purchased through Luxury Escapes. Passengers must arrive no later than 8pm (20:00) on the day of departure. Passengers must collect their bags and check in with Maldivian at Melbourne International Airport Terminal T2 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time or as otherwise advised.
