Choose from either a two-course lunch with a drink or a five-course dinner tasting menu with or without paired wines. You’ll indulge in the delicious seasonal fare: a sumptuous menu with dishes like Abrolhos Island scallops and Goondiwindi pork cheek, paired with your choice from a selection of Queensland boutique wineries such as Ballandean Estate and Pyrenees, or enjoy the taste of a locally crafted beer. Finish with dishes like dark chocolate marquise or Stanthorpe spiced apple shortcake. Throughout this unique dining experience, you will gain a rare glimpse into the Queensland Parliament’s grand, historic heritage dining room, usually reserved for Members of Parliament and their guests.

  • Dietary requirements can be accommodated with 14 days’ prior notice. Please advise at the time of booking in the ‘Special Comments’ field
  • Please note that dietaries cannot be accommodated when booking the tasting menu

  • Parking is not available at Queensland Parliament House. The closest car parking facilities are located at QUT Gardens Point Campus or on-street metered parking in nearby George or Alice Streets
  • Upon entry, you will be required to present photo ID (such as a driver’s licence)

  • The minimum number of guests required for this experience is two guests. Maximum number of guests is 60. Maximum one voucher redeemable per booking. Vouchers for this offer are limited and subject to availability. Not valid with any other offer
  • Entire voucher must be used in one visit; any unused portions of the voucher will be forfeited, and cannot be used at a later date

Make your reservations at Strangers’ Restaurant in Queensland Parliament House for a dining experience shrouded in history. Take a seat in the heritage dining room, which retains much of its original charm, with early Australian cedar yoke back chairs, and interior décor reflecting the late Victorian era of its construction.
