 Day 1: Da Nang – Hoi An (-/ -/ -)

Welcome to Da Nang, Vietnam. You are greeted by your guide and driver at Da Nang International airport for your transfer to your hotel in Hoi An.

Overnight in Hoi An

 Day 2: Hoi An (B/ L/ -)

Walk the ancient streets of Hoi An, lined with Chinese traders’ homes and wooden houses reincarnated as restaurants, cafés, and outlets for local artists, craftsmen and tailors. Explore the beautiful 16th century Japanese Bridge. Hoi An's unique fusion of Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese architecture is well displayed here, in what is arguably Vietnam's most tourist-friendly town.

Next you will enjoy a cooking class. After enjoying your welcome drink, you'll be transferred to Tra Que Organic Village to select fresh herbs for your cooking lesson. You'll stop by the local village market for other ingredients, then arrive at a Cooking School and begin your class (joining class). Working with the Red Bridge Chef, you'll prepare 4 famous dishes, including ‘Pho’. After the class you'll sit down and savour the dishes you have prepared, then enjoy a leisurely 25 minute cruise along the Hoi An River back to central Hoi An. Bring your swimsuit, after the cooking tour has finished you can enjoy free use of our 20 metre swimming pool.

In the late afternoon, you will sit down and learn how to make traditional lantern out of bamboo and silk.

 Day 3: Hoi An – Da Nang – Hanoi (B/ L/ -)

Take a short flight from Da Nang to Hanoi, one of Asia’s most enchanting cities, full of culture and history. You are met at Noi Bai airport by your local guide and learn a bit about this fascinating city on the way to your hotel.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Vietnam History museum. Established in the 1920s as the Musée Louis Finot, the Vietnam History Museum is housed in an ‘Indochinese style’ structure and traces the history of the Vietnamese people from the earliest times to the present day.

Then leisurely walk to nearby Hanoi Opera House for photos of the most beautiful French architectural buildings left in Hanoi.

Drop by a local coffee and ice cream shop to relax and enjoy the atmosphere while observing the local life.

Explore the Old Quarter at a casual pace on golf cart style buggies, so you can enjoy the scenery and take photos. This is a place you must see to experience Hanoi, where you will find shopping and cultural/historical sites all wrapped into one.

 Day 4: Hanoi City Highlights (B/ L/ -)

In the morning you will take a walk on the Ba Dinh Square and visit the Ho Chi Minh complex. This complex features the mausoleum of the founder of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh. If it is opened, you can walk through the mausoleum to view his body. You can also see the Presidential Palace and Uncle Ho's house on stilts in the park-like complex.

Continue with the Temple of Literature, dedicated to Confucius, was built in the 11th century. It was the first university in Vietnam and students still come here to burn incense. You will find a peaceful atmosphere tinged with incense smoke, and sunken lotus ponds populated by fish and turtles. Enjoy lunch at KOTO restaurant.

Located on the outskirts of Hanoi by the banks of the Red River, Bat Trang is a traditional handicraft village specializing in ceramics. Discover the small, hidden alleys of this village and visit a local workshop to interact with the craftsmen and observe the complete production cycle, from preparing the clay to shaping the products, painting them and firing them in the kiln.

 Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/ L/ D)

Breakfast at hotel before heading out to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In Ha Long you will board your luxury Au Co cruise for the 3 day 2 night cruise program

The first day of your cruise provides an introduction to the amazing scenery of Halong Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. Cruising through Halong Bay will literally take your breath away.

Depart from Tuan Chau, meet the on board team and receive a safety briefing. Acquaint yourself with the five elements cuisine with lunch on board, while The Au Co cruises leisurely towards to Vung Ha area. First, visit the beautiful Vung Ha beach for swimming and water acitivities.

Back to The Au Co to join a Cooking demonstration then enjoy Happy Hour with “Buy One Get One Free”: Beer, House wine (by the glass), Soft drinks, Long drinks, Cocktails

Savour our five elements signature dinner of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. After that, you could relax with a drink at Lan Ha bar or enjoy squid fishing from the main deck

 Day 6: Halong Bay (B/ L/ D)

Start the day with Tai Chi - physical movements designed for relaxation, balance and health - on the sundeck of the boat while enjoying the panorama.

After breakfast on board, visit the Vung Vieng by rowing traditional bamboo boats for about 01 hour.

Then, come back to the boat and take a tour of the Captain's Bridge and the Engine Room. After that, savour a delicious lunch in the Halong Restaurant while the ship cruises towards Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island for a guided biking or hiking excursion in the national park of Cat Ba Island and visit of The Au Co Organic Farm. Another option for visiting the island and the organic farm is to use the electric trolley service available (at a bit of extra cost). After that, kayak and swim in Viet Hai Lagoon.

Back to The Au Co to enjoy an extended Happy Hour for two hours (half price drinks). Try the barbeque buffet in the restaurant while the boat is at anchor.

The day ends with a drink at Lan Ha bar or join our crew and try squid fishing on the deck.

Last but not least for the day, join our kitchen staff for a fun fruit carving sessions.

Overnight on Au Co Cruise

 Day 7: Halong - Hanoi – Siem Reap (B/ -/ -)

Awake early and join the Tai Chi session on the sundeck or enjoy the breath-taking views of the bay while The Au Co cruises leisurely in Halong Bay.

On the way back to port, enjoy breakfast and take a last glimpse of the beautiful scenery from the bar or sundeck. Then, participate in a guided tour of Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave.

After breakfast, prepare for check out: your bags must be put in the corridor. You can also join a Vietnamese traditional tea ceremony. Finally, the ship disembarks in Tuan Chau and return to Noi Bai international airport for the flight to Siem Reap.

Upon arrival, met and transferred to the hotel and free for the rest of the day.

 Day 8: Siem Reap (B/ -/ -)

Wake up early, have breakfast at the hotel and head out with your cameras for a day filled with amazing sights and experiences.

Explore the amazing temple complex and spend most of the day in what this UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit further explore Angkor Wat, easily the most famous and best-preserved of all temples within the Angkor complex. It is a massive three-tiered structure crowned by five lotus-like towers rising 65 meters from ground level. The centrepiece of any visit to the temples around Siem Reap, Angkor offers many iconic sights for amazing pictures.

You also visit the Ta Prohm Temple, unlike most other Angkor temples, has been left just it was when rediscovered: a photogenic and atmospheric maze of trees growing out of temple ruins amidst jungle surroundings, making it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors.

In the afternoon visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom, surrounded by an 8m high wall. Angkor Thom was the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the reign of Jayavarman VII. Continue to Bayon Temple in the exact centre of the city. This 12th century masterpiece is a study in grandeur, its exterior gallery walls featuring extensive, superb bas-reliefs, particularly the East and South Galleries.

The trip to Pre Rup Temple will reward you with a spectacular sunset over the Angkor Archaeological Park and its surroundings.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

 Day 9: Siem Reap (B/ -/ -)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kompong Kleang floating village is, in fact, a settlement of over 20,000 people where houses tower up to ten meters above the water, Greeted by waves of the friendly locals, here you can glimpse Cambodia’s countryside culture and traditional family lifestyle.

From Khleang, you head out to the hidden jungle temple of Beng Mealea. Enjoy a short walk through the dense jungle and discover the wonders of an overgrown temple, Beng Mealea, which lay undiscovered for centuries.

Upon arrival back in town we visit the local markets and Les Artisan D'Angkor, where disadvantaged youth are taught traditional Cambodian crafts.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

 Day 10: Siem Reap - Saigon Departure (B/ -/ -)

Free at leisure till we take you to the airport for your onward fight to Saigon to connect the flight home. End of services.
