Oaks Cable Beach Resort is located in Broome, known as the gateway to Western Australia’s Kimberley region. The resort is a seven-minute drive from Cable Beach town, home to a supermarket and café, while the famous Cable Beach is just a 15-minute stroll away. The hotel is located approximately a 10-minute drive from Broome International Airport (BME). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

Extended Stay packages include weekly housekeeping. All other packages include daily housekeeping.
The hotel restaurant closes during low season from approximately 1 November to 31 March annually. During this time a breakfast box will replace the included daily continental breakfast.

Definitely worth every cent, loved my time here at the Oaks Cable Beach Resort. Rooms were clean and bed was super comfy. I didn't want to leave, this resort is a 10/10 for sure. Customer service was on point catered to my needs, very impressive. Compared to accommodation the night prior at Port Hedlands that were charging $250 for a night in a grubby old studio room at Discovery parks. The Oaks was definitely a slice of heaven, a lovely place to rest your head at a price you can't beat.

Seems 'very tidy'. Investigated a couple of years ago as they had units for sale. Undercover parking. Nice art on the wall. Lovely furnishings. Balcony with table overhanging Olympic sized pool. Large sort of spa-bath, as well as shower. Restaurant/Bar. 24 hour concierge. Shuttle to airport. Hotel leases unit, if you wish.

Prebooked and stayed 5 nights. 2 bedroom apartment needs a full makeover. Delimitation and water damage on bathroom and kitchen cupboards. Tiles missing and calcium build up in shower. Newer TV and a couple of other things. Cleaning service everyday. Pool was great. Food and service was average. Terrible steak. Wouldn't call it a resort but more Motel with a good pool. Not really worth $500 plus per night 😐 Not too far from beach but far enough. Local bus pick-up outside the stay.

The Oaks in Cable Beach is best avoided. Arrival (terrible): When we arrived in the taxi, we were hot and exhausted from the multiple long flights we had to take to get there. We saw the sign that the pool was closed despite their website saying it would be open by our arrival date. The price did not reflect the pool closure. Unit location (not good): Our unit was located at the back of the resort. We had to lug all our bags to the room. No help or lift or anything, just get there yourselves in the heat with all your suitcases and bags. The little pool outside the unit looked fine but we didn't use it because it was too busy (assume because the huge main pool was closed). The unit itself (good): - The unit was nice and cool and very clean. - The beds were comfortable and clean. - The shower sprayed all over the bathroom floor because there's no door, and it doesn't dry without towels. - We had a pet gecko in the bathroom that would chirp at us at night - loved it. - The back porch was lovely, saw quite a few wallabies. - The tea towel looked like a rag and really needed to be replaced. - Has a dishwasher and cooking and a large fridge with 4 bottles of cold water. - The housekeeping put our 3 mugs in the dishwasher and turned it on - that was weird. Location (good): The location in Cable Beach was good. We didn't have a car for a few days and could walk to a lovely cafe and two restaurants within 10 minutes, and the beach and a couple of other restaurants within 15/20 minutes. The bus stop out the front was good when it turned up. All the tour operators come to the resort for pick and and drop off. The restaurant (terrible): Went to breakfast in the morning - cost is $25 per person for buffet style. We thought it was closed because it was dark, quiet, and nobody was there. We noticed a staff member and he said it was open. When walking in and paying, we noticed the sign on the coffee machine saying it's out of order (just like the pool, the information was not offered up by the person, we had to notice the sign). The food looked like it had been there for hours. We left and got our money back. As we left, another guest came and told us that she'd been there an hour ago - they hadn't had any customers since and hadn't changed the food the entire time. This restaurant needs to be shut down. Conclusion - don't recommend: We would never stay here again. The Oaks brand seems very low end with no pride in what they do.
