Your journey begins in Vancouver (YVR) and ends in Lake Louise.

Your cruise departs from Vancouver on Day 1, with check-in commencing at 12pm, and returns to Vancouver in the morning on Day 11. Your rail journey departs Rocky Mountaineer Station in Vancouver at 8am on Day 12 and arrives in Lake Louise at approximately 7pm on Day 13. Please ensure you arrive in time for boarding.

Transfers to the ship and railway are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

Day 1: Vancouver, Canada

The ‘Pearl of the Pacific’, Vancouver is known for vibrant city life and a picturesque backdrop, together offering a uniquely welcoming combination of arts, culture and conveniently accessible adventure.

Arriving in the early afternoon, you may choose to visit the phenomenal Mendenhall Glacier, sample beer at some of the city’s craft breweries or shop local wood carvings and jewellery along Franklin Street. This evening, head back to your luxury ship for rest and relaxation.

Board the renowned Rocky Mountaineer this morning for your scenic rail journey through Western Canada. Over the next two days, the winding tracks of this historic railway will carry you through Canada’s untamed wilderness.

Depart the coast and follow the Thompson and Fraser Rivers on your enchanting journey to the ranch land of British Columbia’s interior. From the lush green fields of Fraser Valley and the Cascade Mountains, through winding river canyons and pristine forests and on to the desert-like environs of the Interior, today’s scenery is a dramatic display of Canada’s great diversity. Watch for steep slopes along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in Fraser Canyon.

This evening, check in at your Kamloops accommodation and spend your evening admiring this riverside hub, known for outdoor adventure.

Age Restrictions

  • Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied, in the same or connecting cabin, by a parent or other responsible adult over the age of 21 for the duration of the voyage. Minimum drinking age is 21.

Travel Insurance

  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended. We recommend purchasing travel insurance as soon as possible after purchasing this package.

Passports & Visas

  • A visa may be required. It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure they’re holding a current visa for the countries they’re visiting. If the traveller is on a non-Australian passport, a valid re-entry visa may be required.
  • Important: Please start arranging your visa at least 6-8 weeks prior to departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours and processing time.
  • A valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months beyond your return travel date is required for all passengers (including children and infants).

Health & Vaccinations

  • Travellers are advised to check recommended vaccinations with their local health professional at least 45 days prior to departure, as some vaccinations require 30 days or more to be effective.
  • Proof of vaccination is not usually required unless you are coming from an infected area.
  • Proof of Yellow Fever vaccinations is required for entry into some countries, in particular in Africa. Please check with your health professional that you hold the appropriate vaccination entry requirements for your destination.
