You’ll also find what is perhaps the city’s most unique wine bar – a detail-oriented venue with over 500 varieties treasured within converted bluestone cells, one of which was Ned Kelly’s former residence. Below floor level lives a spectacular candle-lit pool available for private therapeutic bathing, elevated wellness experiences and poolside drinks. Situated in Melbourne’s northern suburb of Coburg, The Interlude occupies a section of prized heritage real estate within the historic Pentridge precinct, formerly the HM Prison Pentridge. An easy tram into the CBD and surrounding suburbs allows for the exploration of an array of eclectic galleries and resident art hubs, while artisan studios including Koko Black chocolatiers and breweries like Brew Dog are within close walking distance. The hotel is located approximately a 15-minute drive from Melbourne Airport (MEL). 7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.
Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 45 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

- Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
- Daily breakfast is continental on Monday to Thursday and a la carte on Friday to Sundays. It’s served in North&COMMON restaurant from 8am to 10am.
- The food and drinks credit is only valid for the chef’s sharing menu in North&COMMON (open Wednesday to Saturday) or at Olivine Wine Bar (open every day). No minimum spend.
- Welcome drink on arrival is typically a glass of Victorian sparkling, subject to availability. Guest preferences can be catered to.
- Guests are allocated a 45-minute time slot for the sommelier-led wine tasting (Time Travel with Wine Experience). It is run in conjunction with other guests, but still intimate and led by a trained sommelier.
- Guests will be allocated a one-hour time slot to enjoy The Story of Place, which includes walking around the garden, sampling wines and other drinks, eating a cheese platter and listening to history and region highlights over the fire.
- Minibar credit doesn’t require a minimum spend. Credit is not transferrable.
- Guests may opt to upgrade from complimentary Wi-Fi to high-speed Wi-Fi for A$9.95 per day.
- Parking is self-parking only and is available for A$19 per vehicle, per night.
