Spice Village — CGH Earth in Kerala’s Thekkady is a four-hour drive from Cochin International Airport (COK). The famous Periyar National Park, where you can encounter tigers and elephants, is just a 10-minute drive from the resort. Thekaddy Lake, where you can enjoy a boat ride while you take in the scenic views of the valley, is a couple of minutes away and Kadathanadan Kalari Centre where you can witness Kerala’s traditional form of martial arts, ‘Kalaripayattu’, is only a 2-minute drive from the resort.

There are two restaurants on site where you get to satiate your hunger pangs with healthy and delicious meal options. Tamarind restaurant gives you a taste of regional and international cuisine whereas 50 Mile Diet restaurant entices you with local cuisine crafted out of ingredients within a 50-mile radius to reduce the carbon footprint! Local Tips — Exploring Thekkady
Take advantage of the ideal location of the resort and head to Periyar Tiger Reserve which is at a 10-minute distance from the property. Spread over 925 km and home to a huge variety of wildlife, this reserve is worth exploring for all adventure lovers. The reserve is said to have 62 species of mammals, 320 species of birds, 27 species of amphibians, 45 species of reptiles and 38 species of fish! Another place worth visiting is Thekaddy Lake where you can enjoy a boat ride as you watch the sun go down. Culture lovers will love Kadathanadan Kalari Centre where one can learn everything about Kerala’s traditional form of martial arts, ‘Kalaripayattu’.
