Finolhu, a Seaside Collection Resort

Seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll is located on the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve. One of just 26 natural atolls in the Indian Ocean, its crystal-clear waters are protected from fishing and development, allowing a vibrant underwater ecosystem to flourish. Snorkel or scuba dive through reefs bursting with striking coral, multi-coloured fish and other sea life. The resort is located an approximately 30-minute seaplane flight from Velana (Malé) International Airport (MLE).

Roundtrip domestic transfers from Malé via seaplane are included in your package. Seaplane transfers operate in daylight hours, between 9am and 3.30pm. Guests unable to meet this schedule will need to spend the evening in Malé at their own expense. Baggage allowance for passengers is 20kg checked luggage and 5kg hand luggage per person. Any excess baggage will be charged US$5 per kg, payable at the airport (subject to service charge and statutory GST). Guests must contact the resort at least seven days prior to arrival to organise transfers.

Update 22 May 2024, 3pm AEST: Compulsory Christmas and New Year’s Gala Dinners are mandatory for all guests staying over these periods.

Green Tax: The Maldives Green Tax – US$6 per person, per day – is included in your package but is payable for any extra guests. Payable directly to the resort/hotel.

Compulsory Christmas Gala Dinner: For stays on 25 December, an additional surcharge of US$380 per adult (12+) and US$190 per child (2–11) applies for the compulsory New Year’s Gala dinner. Payable directly to the resort.

Compulsory New Year’s Gala Dinner: For stays on 31 December, an additional surcharge of US$550 per adult (12+) and US$225 per child (2–11) applies for the compulsory New Year’s Gala dinner. Payable directly to the resort.

Blackout Dates & Surcharges: A non-refundable surcharge per room, per night may apply, payable at the time of booking. Dates and prices are identified in the Booking Calendar. Blackout dates may apply.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

• Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.

Please Note:

• Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
• Guests are advised to bring their own snorkelling gear, however, sanitised gear is available for hire at the property.
• The US$50 credit included in select packages must be used during your stay.
• Any unused credit will be forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
• Alcoholic drinks are available only for adults aged 18 years and over. The resort reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol.
• Children under the age of 12 eat only from the kid’s menu for free, additional food consumed will need to be paid for directly to the resort.
• Meal packages do not include in-villa dining and destination dining, these will be charged as per consumption.
• Please note Green Tax and seaplane transfers are not included for additional guests.
• For additional guests, Green Tax is US$6 per night per person, payable directly to the resort.
• For additional guests, seaplane transfers are US$798 per adult (US$479 per child), payable directly to the resort.
• A maximum of two infants may stay in the Two-Bedroom Water Villa with Pool.

Seaplane Transfers

• Guests are required to send their international flight details to the resort at least seven days prior to the expected arrival day.
• Return domestic transfers from Malé via seaplane are included in your package.
• Seaplane transfers operate in daylight hours, between 9am and 3.30pm.
• Guests unable to meet this schedule will need to spend the evening in Malé at their own expense.
• Guests with a departure flight before 9am may be required to check out one night prior to departure date.
• Baggage allowance for passengers is 20kg checked luggage and 5kg hand luggage per person.
• Any excess baggage will be charged US$5 per kg, payable at the airport (subject to service charge and statutory GST).
• Guests must contact the resort at least seven days prior to arrival to organise transfers.

Standard All-Inclusive Package

Inclusions:

• Daily breakfast at Beach Kitchen (excluding freshly squeezed juices).
• Lunch and dinner at Beach Kitchen.
• Pizza at Pizza Counter between 1pm and 10pm (one pizza per person, no takeaway).
• One a la carte dinner at each of the following speciality restaurants: Crab Shack, Kanusan, Arabian Grill (prior reservation is advised to secure a table; certain dishes may be subject to a surcharge – details available are in the menu’s available in the restaurants). Please note that certain dishes at specialty restaurants may incur a surcharge.
• Succeeding visits to any of the specialty restaurants receive the following non-cumulative credits: US$50 per adult per day for dinner; US$25 per child for dinner.
• Daily unlimited standard alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from the selected All-Inclusive Standard Beverage List, with all drinks served by the glass and available during bar and restaurant opening hours.
• 30% discount on drinks from the All-Inclusive Premium List and Exclusive Beverage Selection List, with all drinks served by the glass only. Includes fresh apple, carrot, orange and watermelon juice.
• Non-alcoholic beverages from the in-villa mini-bar bar, are replenished once daily (all other mini-bar items are chargeable as per consumption).
• Exclusions: Mini-bar items not listed above, drinks from Exclusive Beverage Selection List, items from Milk Bar, specialty dining, juices not list above

Premium All-Inclusive Package

Inclusions:

• Daily breakfast at Beach Kitchen.
• Lunch at Beach Kitchen or Crab Shack (reservations are advised to secure your table).
• Dinner at Beach Kitchen, Kanusan, Arabian Grill or Pizza Counter (reservations are advised to secure your table).
• Daily unlimited premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from the Selected All-Inclusive Premium Beverage List, with all drinks served by the glass and available during bar and restaurant opening hours.
• 40% discount on drinks from the Exclusive Beverage Selection List, with all drinks served by the glass.
• US$50 credit on each bottle of champagne or wine from the Exclusive Beverage Selection List.
• Milk LAB cafe drinks and snacks.
• All drinks from the minibar, and the in-room wine cellar. Consumed items will be replenished once per day only. Snacks are not included.

Resort Dress Code

• Beach Kitchen and Crab Shack: Swimwear and sheer clothing are not permitted.
• Kanusan and Arabian Grill: Smart casual wear is required.
