The Accommodation – Stay in old farm buildings restored into boutique rooms
Country-style décor adorns chic two-person, one-bedroom suites (ranging between 18 – 26sqm) complete with a stylish interiors, king bedding, modern en-suite bathroom, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Select from Oakview, Verandah or Anglers rooms.
Deluxe Upgrade: Upgrade to the 41sqm Bakery Cottage valid for four people and enjoy a self-contained, two-bedroom cottage, which was the Convict’s original bakery, with an additional king bed and a small sitting area in each room.
The Food – Think: Delicious home-cooked meals sourced from local Tassie produce
Upon arrival, place yourself in front of the fire at the Homestead as you are welcomed by your host with a cheese platter. Follow this with a welcome bottle of local Tassie Pinot Noir which awaits you in the comfort of your farmhouse room.
Enjoy a communal continental breakfast each morning at the Homestead featuring a spread of crusty bread, fruit, yoghurt, muesli and cereals served alongside fresh coffee and tea. Hot dishes such as hot eggs, huevos rancheros and pancakes can be requested (additional charges apply).
During your stay, enjoy one tantalising homemade dinner for two (or four in the Deluxe Rooms) served at the Homestead. Select your meat—beef, lamb, pork, salmon or vegetarian—and let the on-site chefs work their magic as they whip up a delicious meal based around local seasonal produce. Finish off your dinner with a daily-changing dessert.

Home to Australia’s oldest golf course—dating back 150 years!—the restored and expanded course at Ratho Farm retains local heritage while enriching the modern golfer’s experience. Grab a club and head to the 18-hole golf course for a two-for-one game included with your stay. The area also offers plenty of walking trails, as well as horse riding and a local pub.
Or stay on-site and try your hand at spotting the resident platypus who appears in the Clyde River at dusk and dawn, watch prancing peacocks and grazing deer along the riverbank or cast a line to lure in trout for your dinner!
