Nepal Adventure: A 7-Day Tour with Helicopter Ride over Everest Base Camp

The Experiences – Helicopter tour over Everest Base Camp and cultural dining experience
Immerse yourself in the Nepalese culture from the moment you arrive in Kathmandu. After being met at the airport by a tour representative, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, before heading to a local restaurant for a cultural programme and sumptuous welcome dinner.
Following a restful night’s sleep, you’ll embark on the adventure of a lifetime with a helicopter tour over Everest Base Camp. First, you’ll head to the Sherpa village and the gateway to Everest, Lukla. After refueling in Lukla, fly over Tengboche, Dingoboche, Gorakshep and the Khumbu glacier to base camp, before heading back via Kongde or the Everest View Hotel for an optional breakfast (food and drink here is not included in the tour price). For an additional cost, you even have the once-in-a-lifetime option of landing at base camp.
The following day you’ll head off on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley. On the agenda is the Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Patan Durbar Square.
The next morning you’ll travel by private vehicle or optional flight to Pokhara, where you’ll awaken early for a mountain trek and spectacular sunrise views.
Thrillseekers will love the optional paragliding, while Pokhara also offers an excursion to bucket-list-worthy sites such as Phewa Lake and Davis Falls.
Your final full day is reserved for relaxation, with an included 30-minute massage at Gokarna Forest Resort and a cultural farewell dinner with your fellow travellers.

Nights two, three and six will also be spent at Gokarna, while nights four and five in Pokhara will be in either Mount Kailash Resort, which has a private garden and spa, or the stunning Hotel Pokhara Grande, which last year made it into TripAdvisor’s top ten hotels in Nepal.

Getting to Nepal is easy. Flights to Kathmandu depart regularly from all major Australian cities, with a minimum of one stop and a flight time of around 17 hours.
The tour starts and ends in Kathmandu. Please ensure you arrive in time to enjoy your welcome dinner on the first evening.

DAY ONE - ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU
You will be met at the airport by a tour representative and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, you will meet at Hotel Mulberry and enjoy a cultural programme and welcome dinner with your fellow travellers at a local restaurant.

DAY TWO - HELICOPTER TOUR OVER EVEREST BASE CAMP
After breakfast, it’s time for your Everest Helicopter tour, starting from Kathmandu and flying towards the beautiful Sherpa Villages and the gateway to Everest, Lukla. Refuel in Lukla before flying over Everest Base Camp, Kalapathar (landing at base camp is optional and extra charges will apply. Please see ‘Fine Print’ for details). You’ll fly over villages including Tengboche, Dingboche, Gorak Shep and the Khumbu glacier to reach the Base Camp. On the way back, you will be given half an hour in Kongde or Everest View Hotel to take tea/coffee or breakfast (optional, food and drink not included in tour price). Head back to Kathmandu for lunch, before starting the trip to Thankot and the Chandragiri Hills, where you’ll take an optional cable-car (additional fees apply) for beautiful views of Kathmandu valley and the breathtaking Himalayas.
