The Tour – From the iconic Osaka Castle to the bustling streets of Tokyo

Your tour will begin in Osaka, a bustling city home to stunning architecture and fantastic cuisine. Here you be able to see the magnificent Osaka Castle, one of the most famous landmarks in Japan and a truly breath-taking sight to behold. During your time in Osaka you will also visit the sacred Fushimi Inari Taisha, also known as "O-inarisan". In the 1300 years since it was built in 711AD, people have gathered here to pray for bountiful harvests, business prosperity and the safety of their home and family.

Travel to Asahi Breweries in Kanagawa where you can watch the entire brewing process and sample the freshly brewed beer in an open-area tasting room. Next you will explore Nara, the first capital city of Japan. There you will visit Todaiji Temple, home to the great bronze Buddha. You will also fall in love with the holy deer who live in this city and wander in its beautiful parks.

A highlight of your journey will be a trip to Hakone to visit the Owakudani volcano and witness its sulphurous fumes, hot springs and hot rivers. On a clear day, you will witness incredible views of the iconic Mount Fuji. Enjoy a scenic ride on the Hakone Ropeway cable car and see this beautiful area from a new perspective.

Your final stop will be Tokyo, the country’s vibrant capital city. Here you will have the opportunity to explore this buzzing metropolis on your own or enjoy the optional Tokyo City tour including the iconic Tokyo Tower, Imperial Palace, and taste traditional Japanese street food at the famous Nakamisen shopping street.

Flights: Return economy flights from Melbourne or Sydney are included in your package. Once airline ticket is issued the tour is fully non-refundable. Early arrival is not available on this tour.

A return date change fee of AUD$200 per person applies and is based on flight availability.

A Business Class upgrade is available for a fee of AUD$5,000, subject to airline services and class availability.

A Premium Airlines Upgrade is available for a fee of AUD$300, subject to airline services and class availability.

Please note, upgrades only apply to return international flights, no internal flight upgrades are available.

The package is valid for ONE PERSON (based on twin share). If you are travelling with another person you must purchase TWO PACKAGES, otherwise, an additional solo traveller surcharge will apply (see below). Solo travellers will get their own room throughout the tour.

Solo Traveller Surcharge: Solo travellers must pay a surcharge of AUD$600, payable directly to the tour operator.

Minimum tour group size is 10 people, maximum tour group size is 40 people.

Standard bedding configuration is one double bed or twin beds on request. No triple share room is available. Hotel rooms in Japan are smaller than those in Western countries, but they are tasteful and comfortable
