Getting to Daydream Island is easier than you might think. Hamilton Island Airport (HTI) has direct flights from Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Alternatively, Proserpine Airport (PPP) is a 40km drive from the Port of Airlie.
Return ferry transfers (taking around 30 minutes each way) from Hamilton Island Airport or Port of Airlie to Daydream Island are included in your package – please advise our customer service team as soon as you know your arrival details (at least 30 days prior to travel).
Connecting flights to HTI depart regularly from major gateways including Singapore (approx flight time of 11.5 hours), Hong Kong (approx flight time of 10 hours), Dubai (approx flight time of 19 hours) and Bangkok (approx flight time 14 hours).

The moment has finally come; two years after Cyclone Debbie, the iconic Daydream Island resort has reopened, unveiling a chic multimillion-dollar makeover. With three brand-new restaurants and a revitalised pool area, offering a gourmet burger bar and views over the Whitsundays as you swim, it’s once again one of the best ways to enjoy this stunning part of Queensland, the Great Barrier Reef and surrounding islands.

The Hotel – All your favourite Daydream features, reimagined
Breathe in the magic of the brand-new Daydream Island, recently reopened with 277 refurbished modern rooms and an extensive new food and beverage offering. Its stunning Whitsundays location lends itself to blissful days beginning with a sunrise stretch session or relaxing in the brand-new pool area.
For adults there’s the Elita Day Spa, offering bespoke treatments, which you can enjoy guilt free as the little ones are taken care of at the Kids Club, offering a jampacked programme for children aged 4-11 years (charges apply).
Of course, the Living Reef also makes its return to the island, with the manmade free-form coral lagoon wrapping 200m around the central building and holding over 1.5 million litres of water. Discover over 100 species of marine fish, rays, coral and invertebrates such as starfish, sea cucumbers and crabs with the help of marine biologists and an underwater observatory. A Living Reef Experience for the whole family (two adults and two children aged 11 years and under) is included in your package, offering you the chance to join a guided fish-feeding session with experienced marine biologists.
Good food is at the forefront for Daydream, with three brand-new dining destinations; Inkstone Kitchen & Bar, offering steak and seafood, Asian-fusion restaurant Infinity and modern buffet venue Graze. For a cocktail fix there’s the poolside Barefoot Bar, also serving gourmet burgers, and specialty gin bar Tonic.
Making your journey a breeze are included return ferry transfers from HTI Airport or Port of Airlie for up to two adults and two children (aged 11 years and under).
The Room – Elegant new rooms, and two kids stay free!
Relax in your modern Standard Room, furnished with either one king bed for couples or two queen beds for families. Two kids aged 11 years and under stay for free, so please request queen beds if booking as a family (subject to availability).
Neutral tones and large windows letting in plenty of natural light make for a laidback ambience, with all rooms offering a private bathroom with tub, shower and eco-friendly Biology amenities. Other handy features include free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and tea-and-coffee-making facilities.
Pool-View Upgrade: Switch resort views for pool vistas when you upgrade to a Superior Pool-View Room. All Superior Rooms offer sliding doors that open onto a private balcony for enjoying a glass of wine at sunset.

Upgrade to a Superior Poolside Room, located close to the pool area – ideal for a refreshing morning dip and securing the best sun lounger! The Food – Sample Daydream’s fantastic new bars and restaurants
Wake up to a daily buffet breakfast at Graze, serving all your favourite dishes in a fun interactive dining experience. From fresh fruit and pastries to bacon, sausage and eggs cooked to order – everyone will find something delicious to start their day.
One poolside lunch is also included in your package, choose to dine either at the Barefoot Burger Bar or at Inkstone Kitchen & Bar, serving modern Australian dishes, seafood and steak.
Return to either Graze or Inkstone Kitchen & Bar for one included dinner. You’ll find a selection of international buffet favourites at Graze or delicious à la carte dishes including stoneground pizzas, prime cuts of beef and fresh fish at Inkstone.
Relax at Tonic Bar, Daydream’s specialty gin bar, every evening, with one nightly drink per person included. Sip on your choice of beer, cocktail, glass of wine or soft drink in relaxing surrounds.
Bonus Inclusion: Customer staying seven nights in either an upgraded Superior Poolside or Oceanview Room will enjoy a bonus second dinner at either Graze or Inkstone.
