Flights: Return economy class flights from either Sydney or Melbourne (max. travel time 16 hours) are included in your package. A surcharge of AU$300 applies to departures from alternative capital cities.

The minimum age for the tour is two years. All children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Children must pay full price.

The package is valid for ONE PERSON aged two years or older (based on twin share). If you are travelling with another person you must purchase TWO PACKAGES.

DAY 2 – Osaka

Arrive in Osaka and spend the day at your leisure depending on your time of arrival.

Overnight: La Raison Osaka

DAY 3 – Osaka – Nara – Osaka

After breakfast, visit the historic Osaka Castle. The lofty and magnificent structure of the main building stands in the centre of the inner city, Tenshukaku. Next, discover Shinsaibashi, the largest shopping district full of century-old shops, boutique houses and specialty shops. After lunch, enjoy a leisurely walk around Nara Park, where there are many playful herds of deer designated as natural protection animals for the country. Optional tour in Osaka: Dinner and night tour (entrance ticket, dinner and guide included), AU$120 per person.

DAY 4 – Osaka – Kyoto

After breakfast, enjoy excursions to Arashiyama and Togetsukyo Bridge. After lunch, visit Kinkakuji (the golden pavilion) and the Ryoanji Temple with its traditional Japanese courtyard; the most famous rock garden landscape in Japan. Optional tour in Kyoto: Sword dance Kenbu show, Hanamikoji Street and dinner at Gion, AU$250 per person.

DAY 5 – Kyoto – Shizuoka

After breakfast, visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, the head shrine of Inari and famous for Senbon Torii (a kind of Japanese gateway). After lunch, take a bus to Kiyomizu temple, a well-known maple and sakura scenic spot. Then visit Nishijin textile centre. Transfer to your hotel in Shizuoka and rest.

DAY 6 – Shizuoka – Mt Fuji

After breakfast, start your journey to Mt Fuji. Visit the Hongu Sengen Shrine, which is the perfect location for panoramic view of Mount Fuji; or to Saiko Iyashi no Sato, where you can experience the art of pottery and other handicrafts. Then go to the Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station (snow conditions permitting – this may change to The Fuji Subaru Line 1st Station if weather does not permit). Then visit Oshino Hakkai. After 80 years of filtration, the melted snow in Mount Fuji has become eight springs. Finally, enjoy a dinner and Japanese-style hot spring in hotel.

DAY 7 – Mt Fuji – Tokyo

After breakfast, head to Owakudani, a volcanic site formed by the eruption of the Hakone volcano. Then transfer to Tokyo. Upon arrival visit Asakusa Temple, Nakamise Street. Then arrive at Odaiba, the latest hub of entertainment in Tokyo. Please note that the clients who want to watch Rugby World Cup 2019 won't participate the in the Tokyo tour. Upon arriving in Tokyo, you will be sent directly to the venue. Optional tour in Tokyo: Kabuki show and night sightseeing cruise with dinner, AU$150 per person.

DAY 8 – Tokyo

Spend the day at your leisure or choose from one of two optional tours. Tokyo optional day tour: Disneyland one day trip (entrance tickets included, tour guides and public transportation not included), AU$120 pe rperson. Tokyo optional day tour: one day trip (including transportation, entrance tickets and lunch), AU$300 per person. Rugby World Cup 2019 (available only with tours departing 23 September 2019, 13 October 2019 or 20 October 2019) transportation and entrance tickets excluded) – price TBC.
