• All guests are required to provide a valid passport (minimum 6 months ’ validity) or local identity at the time of check-in.
• In accordance with the immigration department, all travellers travelling to the Maldives are required to submit an Online Traveller Declaration within 96 hours before departure to the Maldives, as well as upon departure from the Maldives. • No children under 12 years of age are allowed in the Overwater Villa category unless parents sign a disclaimer upon check-in.
• A maximum of one extra bed or baby crib can be placed in any of the villas.
• Restriction: Due to safety and privacy concerns, the operation of unmanned aerial systems or drones by any guest
• Model aircraft by recreational users and hobbyists is prohibited.
• Transportation Alila Kothaifaru Maldives is located in Raa Atoll, in the northern part of the Republic of Maldives. The resort is accessible either by seaplane or by domestic flight to the nearest airport, Ifuru (IFU), followed by a speedboat journey. Seaplanes are operational only during daytime (6.30am to 3.30pm) as per Maldivian aviation regulations and subject to weather conditions and maintenance needs.
• Your transfers to and from Alila will be booked by the resort based on your international arrival and departure flight timings. All guests are required to share the names of all accompanying guests, including children, as they appear in your passports, together with your international flight details, at least seven days before arrival to ensure a smooth and timely transfer.
• The return airport transfer fees are USD670 per adult and USD400 per child aged 2-11 years.
• Infants (two years and below) can travel on a complimentary basis, seated on an adult’s lap.
• The resort reserves the right to revise the rates in case of a government mandate to increase GST tax or a change in fuel cost.
• The seaplane check-in counter closes one hour before departure.
• Guests arriving on flights at around 3pm are required to be at the check-in counter by 4pm to guarantee transfers on the same day.
• Guests departing on international flights earlier than 9am may require check-out one day before the date of departure and stay overnight in Malé (at their own cost) to reach the airport on time. In situations where there is no connection available between international flights and seaplane schedules, guests will need to stay in Malé (city) at their own cost and travel the next day, subject to available transportation.
• Each adult and child (two to 11 years) can carry 20 kg of checked-in luggage and five kg of hand luggage.
• Any excess luggage is chargeable for USD5 + 16% taxes up to a total of 35 kg.
• Any baggage should not exceed a maximum weight of 32 kg.
• The seaplane will carry baggage subject to the maximum load authorised by the carrier. Hence, the carrier cannot guarantee that the baggage will be on the same flight as the passenger. Maximum payload (passengers and baggage) is limited as per regulations and aircraft weight. The seaplane operator reserves the right to refuse any oversized items or baggage, as well as restricted articles or dangerous goods prohibited by law.
