Can I change my check in date post purchase: Once you have purchased your package and received confirmation your dates cannot be changed without contacting the tour operator directly. This decision is strictly at the discretion of the tour operator and subject to availability, so please ensure you have selected your intended travel dates.

The package is valid for ONE PERSON over the age of ten (twin share).

You must purchase and redeem TWO VOUCHERS per booking if travelling with someone, otherwise an additional single traveller surcharge applies, payable directly to Himalayan Social Journey (more information below).

Single Traveller Surcharge: Guests travelling alone must pay a single traveller surcharge of US$250 for the standard package and US$350 for the luxury upgrade package, payable directly to the tour company.

Maximum Room Capacity: The maximum room capacity is two adults.

Bedding: You have a choice between double or twin bedding in your room. Please note, no extra beds can be added.

Trek Capacity: The minimum trek capacity is two people and the maximum capacity is 14-16 people per trek (additional trek dates can be arranged if required)

Trek is suitable for people aged between 10 and 70. Please note that a good standard of fitness is required to complete the trek. If you have any health issues, please consult your doctor before purchasing

This is a Grade Two Rated Trek: Moderate Trek

A moderate trek requires you to walk 5-6 hours per day with a light dya pack. Walking in higher altitudes is more physically demanding than walking in lower altitudes, however the pace of the trek will vary in compensation. If you are in excellent health with average physical fitness and strong determination, you will complete a moderate trek successfully. Exercising, particularly jogging and climbing stairs regularly for some weeks prior to your arrival is reommended to enhance your strength and fitness. Past hiking experience would be an asset, but no technical skill is required.

Package does not include the following: International flights, insurance, personal equipment and clothing; lunch and dinner in Kathmandu, Pokhara and on trekking days (meals cost about USD$4 - approx. AUD$7 per item depending on where you eat); Kathmandu sightseeing monument entry fees (costing approx. US$25); paragilding (US$90) and flight ticket Kathmandu - Pokhara - Kathmandu (approx US$110 one way) and any other activities or items not mentioned in the itinerary.

Himalayan Social Journey’s cancellation and change of date policy applies. Any changes to confirmed bookings are at the discretion of the tour group and charges may apply.

One complimentary spa treatment at Gokarna Forest Resort and Spa is only valid for treatments with a maximum duration of 30 minutes.

One porter will be allocated amongst two people during your trek.

DAY 1 – Arrive in Kathmandu

Touch down in Kathmandu, a city riddled with culture, stunning temples and artistic intrigue. Transfer to the hotel for a meeting with your leader in the evening, then take part in a welcome dinner and a cultural introduction to Nepalese society. Overnight: Hotel Holy Himalaya Meals: Dinner

DAY 2 – Kathmandu to Charaudi

Take a 2-hour drive from Kathmandu to Charaudi before embarking on a white-water rafting adventure down the Trishuli River, named after the Trisula, or the ‘trident of Shiva’. This exciting location serves as one of the most popular locations in Nepal for outdoor activities and with stunning gorges, rough forest surrounds and a great mix between fast and calm waters, it’s easy to see why. After spending the afternoon drifting along the river, head to your accommodation in the tranquil Manakamana Valley. Overnight: Manakamana Valley Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 3 – Manakamana Valley to Birethati via Pokhara

After finishing breakfast, travel by cable car to Manakamana Temple. After witnessing this piece of iconic Nepalese architecture, look out at the flourishing green valleys below before witnessing the snow-dusted peaks of Mount Manasalau and Mount Ganesh Himal. Afterwards, drive onwards to Birethati via Pokhara - approximately 6 hours.

DAY 4 – Ulerri Trek (2000m)

Travel along the iconic trails of Annapurna foothills and enjoy breathtaking views of the rugged peaks of the Himalayas as you wander on hikes past tiny villages and rolling scenery. 4 or 5 hours trek.

DAY 5 – Ghorepani Trek

This morning you will venture on to Ghorepani, reaching 2800m, in this 3 - 4 hours walk along a stunning jungle path

DAY 6 – Poonhill to Tadapani Trek

An early morning hike to Poon Hill offers a sunrise view of the iconic, colourful panorama – the colourful flags set amongst the backdrop of the cold Himalayas is an unforgettable sight to be sure and well worth the visit. Witness over ten of the regions different peaks before trekking back to your guest house for breakfast. Following that, press on to Tadapani, travelling through an often misty stretch of old forest before arriving at your guest house for the evening.

DAY 7 - Ghandruk Trek

Today’s adventures take you to Ghandruk, a beautiful old village owned by the Gurung people of Nepal. This scenic village sits nestled in-between rolling hills sitting below the peaks of Annapurna South, Himchuli, Gangapurna and Machapuchare. The scenery here is as rough as it is beautiful. With an overnight stay here, try to find a good vantage point to witness the last light kissing the mountains above before sinking into your guesthouse for a good night of rest.

DAY 8 - Nayapul - Drive to Pokhara

Depart from the Annapurna foothills with a trek towards Nayapul, stopping at Birethanti along the way. Afterwards, continue to Pokhara. Known as the largest city in Nepal in terms of area, Pokhara sits at a massive nine times larger than Kathmandu and spans altitudes from 827 metres to 1,740 metres above sea levels in certain areas as a result of this size. Due to its location on an important old trading route between China and India, the city has developed an alluring range of temples and medieval buildings which are more than complemented by the tranquil waters of the nearby Phewa Lake. On arrival, drop your luggage off at the hotel where you’ll spend the night.

DAY 9 - Pokhara

Spend a day sightseeing through charming Pokhara. Consider taking a visit to charming Old Pokhara to peer into a world stripped from the bustling chaos of the metropolitan area, or perhaps head to Devi’s Falls and watch the Pardi Khola stream plunge into the earth. For those craving a little more excitement, why not get a better view of the Pokhara region from on high with a paragliding adventure? Just ask your group leader if you’d like to be involved.

DAY 10 - Chitwan

Arrive in Chitwan province before transferring to your hotel. Toast your arrival with some welcome drinks, then embark on an evening walk through the nearby Tharu Village. Sit down to a Tharu cultural show for an insight into local life before wrapping up for the evening.

DAY 11 - Adventures in Chitwan
