• For all other accommodation, Outback Ballooning will advise a suitable pick-up location and confirm a pick-up point with you directly
• Return transfers from all accommodation in Alice Springs is included with every balloon flight. Pick-up time is approximately one hour before first light – time will be given when booking and an exact time will be confirmed when you re-confirm the day prior to flight booked
• Transfers (at the end of tour) to the airport or other tours are available on request. This is not a self-drive tour

• The times are an indication only and vary considerably throughout the year. Pickup times start from 4.15am in summer and from 5.45am in winter. Please contact the Outback Ballooning office for assistance with tour timings
• Please note: Depending on many operational factors, which vary each day, participants may be on the ground or in the balloon when the sun is coming over the horizon or rising; either way, everyone will still see an amazing dawn
• There is no turbulence or vibration as the balloon moves with the wind. It is no colder in the air than on the ground and is often warmer with the burners overhead. Fear of heights is not generally a problem as the basket sides are high and secure and there is no vertical ‘face’ between the balloon and the ground
• Dietary requirements may be catered to upon request only - please note this in your booking
• Must be aged 18+ for alcohol consumption

Terms & Conditions:

• This experience is not recommended for children aged 3–5
• Safety is the primary concern and if you are prevented from flying due to unsuitable weather conditions, participants may either rebook to another day or receive a full refund if they have prepaid. The pilot’s decision with regard to safe flying conditions is final
• Where possible the balloon flight should always be booked for the first available day in the area to allow for re-booking in case of bad weather. Please provide a back-up date if you are staying in the area for more than one night
• Physical fitness is not a requirement to enjoy a ballooning adventure and whilst there are no specific restrictions concerning a person’s weight and/or mobility, all passengers must be able to walk over rough desert terrain without mobility aids, climb quickly in and out of the basket unaided and stand upright for the duration of the flight. There are no doors on the balloon basket, there are foot holes (like a step ladder) to climb in and out of the basket. The basket height is approximately 1.2 metres high and the compartment passengers will be climbing in and out of is approximately 60cm wide. Participants will need to bend and swing their legs over the top edge of the basket to climb down the other side. Participants are advised of these requirements to ensure that they are safely able to join this experience. The crew may be able to assist, but they may also be busy preparing the flight and in the event of an emergency, passengers must be able to do this themselves
• Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) rules and regulations and Outback Ballooning’s policy prevents flying for women who are over 12 weeks pregnant. Pregnancy must be advised in advance
• Illness and/or recent operations that may affect the person or other persons on the tour must be notified to Outback Ballooning in advance. Medication should be brought on the tour
• Persons with medical conditions participating in the balloon flight and pack-up activities do so at their own risk
• Any form of reduced mobility or disablement must be discussed with Outback Ballooning prior to making a booking. Each person is considered on an individual basis
• The flight and carriage of any passenger will take place at the pilot’s discretion
